“ALONE WE CAN DO SO LITTLE, TOGETHER WE CAN DO SO MUCH.”
Helen Keller
Each year, we receive hundreds of requests for support from schools, groups and individuals who see immense value in our outdoor and adventure education programmes but do not have the financial means to attend.
Hillary Outdoors offers a safe and inclusive environment for rangatahi to foster personal development and wellbeing. By partnering with us, you can help to overcome financial inequities for Aotearoa’s youth and provide the opportunity for them to succeed.
We create huge impact through our programmes. Of rangatahi who receive funding support to attend Hillary Outdoors, we see immense increases in their confidence, competence, character, care and connection; enabling them to contribute positively to their whānau and communities long after their programme concludes.
PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Built on the legacy created by Sir Graeme Dingle and Sir Edmund Hillary, Hillary Outdoors strives to ensure all rangatahi, regardless of their finances and abilities have the opportunity to enhance their lives through outdoor and adventure education.
Our amazing community of Partners contribute to our Hillary Step Scholarship (HSS) programme by providing grants and donations.
All funding received from these incredible people is directly distributed to schools, groups, organisations and individuals who demonstrate the need for financial support to overcome barriers for them to attend Hillary Outdoors.
If you’re interested in contributing to the HSS programme, please email our Fundraising Manager, Dawn.
Kotahitanga, meaning unity, is our ‘adopt-a-school’ programme that pairs a Partner with a school attending Hillary Outdoors.
Some of our existing partners adopt schools who have a special place in their hearts and others support schools in their local community. We are happy to work with you to build a meaningful partnership with a school of your choosing.
By adopting a school, you are helping rangatahi from low-socio economic communities and low-income families to overcome financial barriers and have equitable access to our outdoor education and adventure programmes. The Kotahitanga programme aims to cover the majority of a school’s programme fees. Without this vital financial support, these future leaders would not otherwise have the opportunity to have self-led journeys that foster personal growth and development.
If you are interested in adopting a school and would like more information about our Kotahitanga programme, please email our Fundraising Manager, Dawn.
We believe in the power of collaboration. If you have a partnership opportunity you’d like to discuss,
